iPhoto update won't go through
app store says there's an update available for iphoto but it won't let me update. i tried for 3 days now, still comes up as unavailable, try later. any suggestions?
iMac (27-inch Mid 2010), OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)

Don't use the "Updates" tab at the App Store, reinstall from the "Purchases" tab.
To be able to reinstall, move the incompatible version of iPhoto to the Trash (don't empty the Trash), then restart the App Store and check the Purchases tab. You should now see an "Install" button to the right of iPhoto. Reinstalling will install the latest version.
