soundcloud is currently hosting my rss feeds, however i want to switch over to mixcloud. does itunes allow for this without
losing my current itunes subscribers? if so, what is the precedure? any thoughts, suggestions would be most appreciated.

it's nothing to do with iTunes, you have to add a special tag to the original feed - though I don't know whether Soundcloud will allow you to do this. The details are in this article:
Using the tag will also redirect your subscribers: if you are unable to do this the Store staff may do it if you contact them using the method outlined in my article, but note that this will not redirect your subscribers, only the tag in the feed can do that.
