Another issue I've had with iOS 9 is that when I click on the banner when a message comes in while I'm in another app, it'll take me to the message but the keyboard is completely blank for like 5 seconds. Anyone else had this problem? I have iOS 9.02 and iPhone 6 plus.

No, not seeing that issue at all.
Try a forced restart: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps BEFORE doing the restart.
I've done that multiple times. I've even restored my phone (for other reasons with iOS 9 not working properly). So the software deleted and downloaded again, still not fixed. Just was wondering if I was alone out there, guess so haha.
Anyone else having a blank keyboard show up?
