After update to 9.0.1 Calendar app not working properly

After updating to iOS 9.0.1 my Calendar app does not work properly. Tapping on a day number brings up the dialog only after several trials and often only after dragging the screen up and down. That's an extremely annoying problem. Before the update my calendar used to work perfectly.

I'm using an iPhone 5c bought in April 2014.
