After the 9.0 updates I had to restore my son's iPod touch (5th gen). The only backup option it gives me is after the update and about 800 photos are missing! Any suggestions for recovery greatly appreciated. (They are not in the icloud sadly). Thanks in advance.

ever backup to iTunes? iTunes be best option 1st than iCloud backup, almost lost mine and my apps due to Apple restoring progress failing on restoring on some of my apps and photos. So I kept trying while on iOS 9 beta 3 so i went back to iOS 8 and all my stuff is back where they are so posed to be.
