I just updated my 5c and I am not getting text till 2 or 3 days later Help!

Hi my daughters 5c iPhone did the recent update but now her phone will not get some text till 2-3 days later please help ! This is not good for a 13 year old haha!

iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.5)

What did your carrier say when you reported the issue to them?

Well my carrier is ATT so I guess I have to dreadfully go to them and ask
