How viable is my early 2009 Mac Pro?

Question

How viable is my early 2009 Mac Pro?

this is not a question of speed or capability; I have upgraded sufficiently to meet my needs.

MY question is regarding 6.5 year old electronics. Can I rely on the internals of this machine to keep running?

WOuld not not be happy to give up some of the built-in functionality of this machine that does not exist in the current lineup, but I would be more unhappy to have to deal with a breakdown.

Electronics fail so yes it can fail in the future. The 2009-20012 are very good Macs. I even purchased a used 2009 this February.

I think you are at the point where some things will break, but nothing is really catastrophic, and repairs are manageable.
