I have been using Apple Configurator 1.7.2 I see that there is a newer version out. Does anyone know if I get the newer version, will I lose all of my settings and have to start over, or is it like an update?

FWIW, it'd be helpful to show the OS you are running as well as your Mac model/year (you are not running iOS on a Mac) - which must what you are on since the software requires El capitan.

I have the same questions/concerns. Can I import the iPads I already have supervised? Will the app licenses I have purchased through VPP be recognized if I move my currently working iPads to Configurator 2? Can my old profiles be imported?
Is anyone familiar with Apple Configurator 2?
