black screen when nstalling boot camp drivers

I used boot camp to install windows on my MacBook air, it all went well with the installation until boot camp 6 drivers installation. It installed the drivers well but the display driver just gets stuck in black screen and I will have to press the power button to restart and that will have to be for several times cos it happens like that at startup after the windows loading icon. Please is there any fix for this? thanks

MacBook Air, OS X Mavericks (10.9.5)

yes...I can boot into safe mode but it will take a lot of restarts...the last time I booted into safe mode I had to disable the intel HD 4000 driver and the startup was then normal...and after login I enable it again and if I wanna restart or do a shutdown, I will have to disable the graphics driver.

You may need to reinstall the original BC drivers.

all the drivers are from the BC 6 and I downloaded it using the apple update app, so I have the original drivers.

There are issues with newer Intel drivers. You may want to use the Intel HD4K drivers instead.

what version of the intel HD 4k drivers will you suggest i use as i have used the one that came with the BC 5 and it dint work at all...it wont even install at all

thanks for all your replies Loner T...I really appreciate your efforts. however, I have gone back to windows 8 and this driver version is working only that it goes to black screen once in a while but a restart once or twice usually fixes the issue. thanks a lot.

After the black screen episode, can you check Event Viewer for any GPU-related events after you manage to get back in Windows? This seems to be a timing issue.

In the screen shot, there is an Events tab. You may also have one. Use the one for the Display Adapter and then click on Events tab to see all events related to the Display Adapter.
