Q: iTunes
Prior to the Hard Disk recall scheme a couple of years ago, my iTunes library was in the default location. I have since reloaded all my media through the iTunes interface to a new location being an external HDD. However remnants of the old library remain in the default location, mainly 2 mobile apps folders, the expected .lib files and previous iTunes library folders. There is no media in this default location except the 2 (?) mobile apps folders. My question after all that history is simply how and exactly what items do I move to the new iTunes library to stop mobile apps being placed into any one of three locations i.e. the two folders in the old (default) library location, or the folder within my preferred iTunes library location.
I just want everything in one place.
Thankyou in advance to anyone that can help.

Hello wardhaugh,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
I see from your post that you have multiple locations for iTunes media, and you want to consolidate that into one location. To do this, I suggest that you first set your iTunes Media folder location to the location that you desire, and then choose to consolidate your files. Directions for this process can be seen below.
Find and change the iTunes Media folder location
Mac: From the menu bar at the top of your computer screen, choose iTunes > Preferences.
On the Advanced tab:
- Look in the box under "iTunes Media folder location" for the location of your iTunes Media folder.
- To change the location, click the Change button and enter a new location.
After you change the location of the folder, existing files won't be moved unless you consolidate your files. To consolidate your files:
- Mac: From the menu bar at the top of your computer screen, choose File > Library > Organize Library and select "Consolidate files." Then click OK.
Locate and organize your iTunes media files - Apple Support
Take care.
