iTunes wont recognised iPhone 5c after iSO 9.0.2 Updated

I've recently updated the iSO 9.0.2 for my iPhone 5c, and now my iTunes wont recognise my device ["The iPhone cannot be used because it requires a newer version of iTunes" is what is says when I plug my iPhone into my Mac]? However, I open my iTunes up and 'Check for Updates' its says that its the latest version? That and when I go to check for a Software Update, it says that everything is up to date.

I've also tried to restart my iPhone, restart my Mac, and used two different usb cables -as was suggested on the Apple Support: iPhone, iPad or iPod not recognised in iTunes
