my iPhone was stolen and I just want to know if I can get a new one from apple through the one year warranty

Apple warranty covers only manufacturing defects. Theft or loss of iPhone is
not covered. If you purchased via credit card, check with your credit card issuer
to see if they offer some protection. Also check you homeowner's/tenant's
insurance. Be advised most insurances will require a copy of the police report
about the theft for a claim to be considered.
