Is it preferable to let the battery of the 6S run low once a month or is it better to keep the battery charged all the time

Would it be preferable to have the battery of my iPhone 6S run low once a month or would it be better to keep the battery charged all the time?

iPhone 6s, iOS 9.0.2

At one time Apple did recommend occasional full discharge, but they don't anymore.


If the battery charge indicator is inaccurate, you could try a full discharge, but not otherwise.

"The shorter the discharge (low DoD), the longer the battery will last. If at all possible, avoid full discharges and charge the battery more often between uses. Partial discharge on Li-ion is fine. There is no memory and the battery does not need periodic full discharge cycles to prolong life. The exception may be a periodic calibration of the fuel gauge on a smart battery or intelligent device."
