Q: Icloud for Windows does not work with Outlook 2016

I am running a pc with windows 10 and using iCloud for windows to interface with my outlook.

I upgraded to Outlook 2016 and had a problem so I ended up removing office completely and installing office 2016 from scratch.

When I try to associate my apple email account with outlook 2016 using iCloud for Windows it gives me an error that iCloud needs to be repaired.

I have done this several times and still get the same message, so I completely removed iCloud and reinstalled it directly from the Web. Same result.

Is there a fix for this or is this just a case of the iCloud product not yet upgraded to work with Outlook 2016?

"After stuffing around reinstalling it several ti!mes I eventually found the Outlook add-in file called "APLZOD32.dll" located in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Internet Services" by default."

That worked for me with my problem with Outlook 2016 running Windows 10 64 bit!

    Thank you!

    I still have a problem.

    Windows 10

    Outlook 2016

    iCloud Panel 5.1

I try to sync and all it does is throw errors - thus duplicating contacts in my iPhone - thank goodness for a contacts manager app!

I have tried the uninstalling, restarting, reinstalling - all to no avail. I am not a computer "nub" I know what I am doing but this really needs to be fixed. Considering my options - don't really have the time to reset the computer, but then people are saying that doesn't work either! I am at my wits end with this and neither Microsoft nor Apple are offering any solutions.

I am in the same situation as you are. Now I'm using gSyncit 3rd party software to resolve this matter and for me this works well. However I would prefer the provided software from Apple and Microsoft to work well together. After several hours of digging into the software and registry I think the problem has to do with the Outlook Add-In for iCloud: APLZOD32.dll. It should be somehow possible to re-initialise this dll. In the Control Panel/Programs and Features/iCloud => <Change> you have the possibility to choose Repair but this tool does not do its job well, it looks like is does not re-establish the user links between Outlook and  iCloud. Too bad. Just installing everything again from scratch might help.
