My Ipod doesn't work and become hot when I plug. What i can do for fix that?

iPod touch, iOS 8.4.1

Hot is relative. Batteries do get warm when charging, however the general benchmark is 'too hot to handle'. If it feels burning hot, then stop charging it. It's possible that your battery is going or has gone bad.


You should make an appointment at your local apple store or authorized service provider and have them check it out.


If you do feel uncomfortable with the heat generated, don't charge it until its checked out and if you do decide to try and plug it in, don't leave it unattended or on a flammable surface, just in case.
