External hard drive on my Macbook is no longer encrypted

Suddenly, my Lacie external HD no longer is encrypted. On disk utility it says it's encrypted but it's not. Any thoughts? thanks!

MacBook Air Mid 2013.-OTHER, OS X Mavericks (10.9.5)
