I just installed more memory in my iMac . It was very hard to push in and I did not hear a click at the end. Put back together and seems to be working , shows up as installed memory . Should I have any concerns?

assuming you use AboutMyMac or SystemInformation to "check" is it is visible.
Quick answer: no concerns.
Open ActivityMonitor, click the Memory column and look if all is accounted for at the bottom.

Good work. If later you encounter sudden crashes or other issues, you should first check the memory: reseating should be enough.
