Change keyboard layout for all applications

Hello!

I have a macbook pro, that i use in the office, closed, connected with 2 monitors and an english/us wired keyboard, and the pc is in spanish/la keyboard, so my question is: In Yosemite I used the same configuration, but when changing the input sources, it changed for all the applications, and in El Capitan, in changes PER application, so every app I use, i need to change the keyboard, each time.

Is there a way to make it change for ALL applications?

Thanks!

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X El Capitan (10.11), Mexican MacBookPro with spanish kb

This is not how it is supposed to work.

The way to change keyboard layouts remains the same as it has always been. For easy access, you can have the keyboard choice appear in the Menu Bar (see image below). To make it appear just go to system preferences->Keyboard->Input Sources and check the box that says "Show Input menu in menu bar".

When I change it, it changes everywhere.
