Ibooks purchase on iPhone won't show up on Mac Ibooks

i can't figure out how to get a purchase i madden Ibooks on my phone to appear in my Ibooks on my desktop.

i have checked and my apple ID on my desktop shows as starring all account purchases.

what can i possibly do to try and make the purchase appear on my macbook?

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X El Capitan (10.11)

Make sure you're signed in the iBooks Store with the same Apple ID on both devices. If you are, sign out on the Mac and then sign back in. Restart the computer and test.
