You must forget about this Mac and will not be able to use it , without visiting Apple Store firmware password cannot be opened , and they require original invoice for proofs .

Same issue here. I got this VPN software that worked perfectly before to connect to our secure servers. But with El Capitan installed on my Macbook Pro, I can't install this. I hope there is a solution for this as this VPN connection is very important for me.

Ok. I have found a workable solution for me. As a total newbie on this field, I just looked into my package contents and copied them to my desktop. Then I installed the packages separately and it all installed perfectly alright. This was for the installation of e WatchGuard Firewall VPN client. I am using El Capitan on my MBP 2015.

The VPN client is running perfectly and I am able to connect to the server I needed to connect.

I don't know if this will help anyone, but I thought to share what I have learned here.

Having this issue to, on a brand new reformatted iMac. I was able to install Photoshop CS6 and Lightroom 4 no issues, but Microsoft Office 2008 no go. I had this one my computer (El Capitan) prior to the reformat.

I not only get this message, but when I try and do the package trick, I get a message saying it only supports 10.4.9 or later... any advice?

I had the same issue with Office 2008, I just went into my last time machine backup and copied the whole Office 2008 folder from the time machine to my new formatted applications folder. And that worked.
