El Capitan "no software to install problem" + firmware password.

Hello people, it is the fisrt time I write here hope to do it right.

I have a Macbook air 2013 i7 8GB 256GB recently upgraded to El Capitan. After the installation (within Yosemite ) I experience the following major issues:

1. Whenever I try to install new software the installer at the last step shows the message "installation fail because there is no software to install" (screenshot)

2. Screen black point is being raised and I get low contrast issues. I compared also with another macbook air that I know they had the same output.

3. After all this I decided to make a clean installation from a flash drive but before the boot menu options a padlock appears requests a firmware password

that I had never set. That pretty much means that I don't have access to any recovery options as well.

Hope for any suggestions, please also keep in mind I don't have access to native apple store.

Ok. I have found a workable solution for me. As a total newbie on this field, I just looked into my package contents and copied them to my desktop. Then I installed the packages separately and it all installed perfectly alright. This was for the installation of e WatchGuard Firewall VPN client. I am using El Capitan on my MBP 2015.

The VPN client is running perfectly and I am able to connect to the server I needed to connect.

I don't know if this will help anyone, but I thought to share what I have learned here.

Having this issue to, on a brand new reformatted iMac. I was able to install Photoshop CS6 and Lightroom 4 no issues, but Microsoft Office 2008 no go. I had this one my computer (El Capitan) prior to the reformat.

I not only get this message, but when I try and do the package trick, I get a message saying it only supports 10.4.9 or later... any advice?
