iPod nano not being detected in 12.3

I'm having trouble connecting my iPod nano to iTunes 12.3 on windows. I keep getting the following error:

I just finished uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes and the problem persists. Any ideas on how I can get my nano connecting with my windows PC again?


Also, a side note, the iPod nano connects to iTunes 12.3 running on my Macbook with no issues (it's running OS X El Capitan).

Other OS, Windows 10
