Q: Safari 9.0  kernel crash (OS X Yosemite 10.10.5)

I upgraded to the latest Safari on 10-1-2015 and have since gotten 4 kernel panics, all while running Safari.

 

any ideas?

    This is a company owned MAC, not allowed to remove McAfee.

     

     

    I guess i'll just start using FireFox.

    Your IT and/or management team have relegated brush-stroke instability and performance problems with your OS X installation until you remove that anti-virus crap that directly interferes with built-in OS X system security features. Anti-malware may be needed due to the web onslaught, but certainly not anti-virus. A large percentage of instability and performance complaints in these OS X communities will clear up after removal of the offending A/V software.

     

    I am running El Capitan, and Safari has not crashed. Nor has Firefox 41.0.1. I do not run A/V software. What are you going to do when Firefox crashes and we see MacAfee in that crash dump?
