My iPhone 6s randomly shutoff and now it won't turn back on

So while I was in a meeting my iphone 6s turned off. I tried everything I could think of to turn it back on, even plugged it into the charger---NOTHING. I have no idea what the problem is. Any ideas before I run over to AT&T?
