1. mail showers unread mail when there was no unread mail.
2. iPad would drop out of apps.
reset iPad.
locked yo with Apple on screen and a progress bar that does not change.
how can I get out of reset progress screen?

Press and hold down the Wake/Sleep button and the Home button and wait until The iPad powers off.
Release the Wake/Sleep button once Apple tablet is off , but continue to hold the Home button.
Connect the iPad to the iTunes computer.
Release the home button and press OK on iTunes.
Wait and iTunes will reboot the iPad.
