iCloud Drive for photos
I don't see the image of my photos in iCloud Drive - just an icon for a photo and the photo number. Is this the way it is supposed to be??
MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)

Yes, image files on iCloud Drive will mostly show the generic photo icon in the iCloud webpage.
If you want to be able to browse the photos more easily in iCloud, use iCloud Photo Library for photos instead of iCloud Drive.
Ok, thanks. So, essentially, if I want to clean up a folder and delete photos that I don't want then I have to refer to the version on my Mac to do so? In other words, the iCloud Drive is just for storage and not for sorting/managing files??
Many thanks

It is for sorting/managing documents. There are quite a few applications that you could use to open documents on iCloud Rive, Preview, Keynote, Pages, etc, but to manage a large collection of photos the Photos.app would be more efficient.
Thanks so much!
