iPad timer alarm sounds but no timer was started

Hello. I'm the support guy in a Spanish school with a 1 to 1 iPad program for Primary Education and I've just found a really annoying problem in the Timer/Clock app.

I'm having an strange issue with the iPad Air (iOS 8.4.1) of a student. The timer alarm starts to sound (and the notification jumps) randomly without starting a timer. No alarms, clockcounters or timers are set. No matter conditions.

I've tried to find reports of similar behavior with no luck, and the issue is unique for the 200+ iPads I supervise.
