Old Apple ID keeps being used - How to remove?

I have an old Apple ID which I am not using but Apple continues to try to use the old one sometimes. Somehow I created a reminder with the old apple ID but I can't remove it or change it because it's not mine. How do I remove the reminder? Also, how do I remove or delete to old Apple ID so this does not happen again?
