Cant Sign into Apple ID

I have an unlocked iPhone 5 that I sent to India to my family. I forgot to remove my apple ID from that phone but I did perform a complete restore before sending it. They have received the phone but it is asking for my apple ID and password. I gave them the Password but it doesn't seem to be logging in. The password is correct.
