New iOS is shows contacts deleted email address

In the new iOS it is going through your emails to give email address suggestions. So now when I hit compose on an email and start to type out the name, a contacts old email address will appear. This is an email address I had previously deleted off my iPhone, but now is showing up. When I click on the i (info) it no longer has the option to delete it. How do I get rid of this email address? How do I make sure the new iOS doesn't continue to pull old email addresses?
