The title pretty much says it all. It connects to the computer (Windows) every time without issue, shows up in the device list and I am able to move photos from the phone onto the hard drive of the computer. Unfortunately I can not connect to itunes at all. This started happening as soon as I upgraded to iOS9. The recent updates did not help either.

OK I answered my own question. For those having this issue, I did the following: uninstalled every single Apple published program from my computer. Reinstalled iTunes. The iphone now connects just fine.

What you probably needed to do was just upgrade iTunes to the latest version which is 12.3.
I already had. That was not the issue. Thanks very much for your time, however.
