Apple TV not using Photo but iPhoto instead. Why?

When I upgraded my Operating System it deleted my iPhotos application and replaced it with the Photos application. I restored from a Time Machine backup the iPhotos ap. So now I have both apps. But when I try to view my photos on my Apple TV it is using the photos in iPhoto and not in Photos. I want the Apple TV to use the photos in Photos and not iPhoto. How can I fix this?
