Delete iPhoto library after installing El Capitan?

After installing El Capitan, I now have Photos. I also have 2 libraries now that are both about 100GB. Can I delete the iPhoto Library or is it used by Photos?

Yes you can delete the iPhoto library

no it is not being used by Photos

BUT - it is a really bad is a really bad idea to delete it since you may need or want it and it will save very little space - https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204476

It is by fare best not to delete it - if you choose to be positive that you have a good, tested archive in case you need it later
