please-help!-how do i change the Icloud account on I Pad ( my friends is on there but I cant remember his password-so if I need that to do it-can I add my account ?

I set up a friends I cloud account on my I pad-but cant contact him and dont know his password.

How do i add my account and can I delete his without his password?
