Black screen flash

Hello,

When I go to do the finger ID to get on my phone (iPhone 6S Plus, 128GB, gold rose) between my lock screen and actually getting on the phone I get a black screen and/or a dull dark grey overlay.

I tried to see if my husband had the same thing happen and it didn't. what's going on with my phone?
