How do I change from delete secure trash to delete trash? I do not need secure trash

You cannot do a Secure Empty Trash any longer. If you keep sensitive material on your drive, then you should use FileVault to encrypt the drive if you haven't done so when you installed El Capitan.


To Empty the Trash CTRL- or RIGHT-click on the Trashcan in your Dock and select Empty Trash from the context menu. You also have empty Trash options in the Finder's Finder menu.
