Ipod wont turn on

I was using my iPod 5 today and I locked it to do something else and now it wont come back on it staying on a black screen. I tried holding the home and power button for a while and it still wont work. I even tried connecting it to ITunes but again it wont work.

Try the remaining actions of:

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

- Try another cable

- Try on another computer

- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
