why does the iphone 6 not allow my car to recognise contacts via bluetooth

Ipone 6 plus initially connected to my C350 Benz automatically over Bluetooth. I then downloaded the IOS to 8.4 and now 9.0.2

Since the upgrade of to 8.4 I can no longer download contacts from phone to car even though the car recognises the iPhone. IOS 9.0.2 did not fix the problem. Maybe I should buy a new car ?? can anyone help. Google search shows this is a huge problem.
