Strange echo/reverb on all audio

In the middle of watching a film on Netflix there is now a strange echo or reverb on everything I watch on apple tv, Netflix and iTunes, also streaming music from computer through iTunes. Tried restart, putting sound effects on and off, sound check on and off, Dolby is off.
