deletion of a shared calendar that does not have a delete option

I had a family shared calendar and erroneously turned off the shared feature. Then I compounded my error by attempting to restore from a backup but my old family shared calendar could no longer be shared. I created a new family shared calendar. However, the problem is I am now stuck with a calendar that cannot be deleted. I have tried editing via iCloud.com but the specific calendar does NOT have a delete function beside it. Anyone have an idea on how I can delete this calendar.
