My TV won't display when connected to my MacBook Air

I have connected my MacBook Air to my 32" Dynex TV in the past; however, I connected my Mac to the TV this evening and my TV will not display what's on my Mac. My Mac recognizes it is connected to the TV, but the TV won't display anything. I am running OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 and I've never had these issues in the past. Any ideas on a fix?
