iPhone 6 sound problems

My new iphone 6 loses all sound when using Google maps. Sound will eventually return sometimes requiring restart. I have updated to 9.0.1 and 9.0.2 but the problem continues.

II'm finding out that the sound is sporadic even when not using Google maps. Does this seem like a glitch or a problem with the phone itself?

I am having the same issues. Some apps will have sound and some won't. I have to restart to maybe get sound but with some apps I don't get it after update.
