Skullcandy PLYR 2 video noise issue

Evening all. Running iTunes 12.3 on Windows 10, recently grabbed a pair of Skullcandy PLYR 2 wireless headphones as an upgrade.

They work fine when broadcasting music from iTunes, store-bought or otherwise. But when I try to play a TV show bought from the iTunes store over the headphone broadcaster, no matter what show, the audio channel is just occasional loud bursts of static. When I swap over to the original sound card, that audio still works fine, so there's got to be some interaction here.

Any ideas what's going wrong?
