iMovie export to file error -50

I have the same problem and the same error number -50, with this message: "FFTranscoderUNShareOperationFailediMovieCinema".

The movie I want to export is 1h and 2' long.

Format Full HD.

Trying a smaller format (854x480) it fail after 76MB of exporting.

What's the problem ???

With the problem project Select All then Copy. Create a new project and then Paste. See if the new project exports OK. The -50 error indicates that there is something corrupted somewhere in the project and copying and pasting to a new project often (but not always) solves this.

My problem is resolved !

Before exporting I had selected the whole project.

I think this is not necessary.

I've tried to export a little part of the project, so I've made a partial selection of the parts.

After 7 hours of work, iMovie complete the whole exportation.

I encountered the same problem. I got both errors actually. It persists, even after I copy & paste the contents to a new project. Could you advise what else I can try? Thanks.

Try copying the first half of the movie to a new project and the second half to another new project. You may find that one half shares Ok and the other doesn't. The bad half can be divided again and so on until you find the offending clip.

Thanks for your reply. I have 8-10 video clips. I think iMovie doesn't support the format of my clips. I tried to create new project with some of the clips. None of them works.

However, I can see the video in the library preview mode.

If iMovie lets you import clips into an event then it should work with them in a project timeline. Only compatible clips appear in the event pane.

Yes, I can see my clips in event, even in theater, but failed to share out to any destination. Any suggestion? What can I do to get around the problem?

But if you can see clips in theater you must have succesfully shared them - that's how they are sent to theater. What other share destinations did you try?

Have you actually created a project or are you just sharing individual clips?

i can see in theater, but share didn't work.

i tried to share to youtube and simply to a file. none works.

i also tried follow what's suggested, to create a new project and copy the clip over. it doesn't work, even with 1 plain clip.
