install windows on a second hard disk

I bought an SSD and installed on it OS X Yosemite. I am thinking of replacing the optic disk and replacing it with the old HDD which is still working perfectly. Can i install Microsoft windows on the HDD and keep the SSD with OS X ? I have a macbook pro mid2012 13'' ?

MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)

You can but not with Boot Camp. You can use VMware Fusion, Parallels or VIrtualBox to create a Windows Virtual Machine and the VM file can be stored on and run from second drive.

Also, depending on how big your SSD is, you can install the VM on the internal since it doesn't necessarily have to be as big as a Boot Camp installation.
