to transfer from samsung note 3 to iphone 6 without using IOS9 platform. Anyone?

anyone trying to transfer from Android to Iphone without the need to update to IOS 9? I tried to use the app provided by apple to transfer from my samsung note 3 to iphone 6 plus but cannot be done. Think needs to update to IOS9 which i do not wish to as there are too many bugs
