fault speaker iphone 6

I took my phone as it has a fault speaker. They said its still under warrenty so My phone is going to be replaced. The only thing is that I also have a small crack on the screen they said warrenty is not vaild for this and I have to pay 275e. I took the phone beacause of the speaker, why warrenty does not cover this problem because I also have the crack?
