Microsoft Outlook does not support split screen?
All my other Microsoft Office apps on my Mac seem to do split screen apart from Outlook which is vexing! Is this just me?!!?

I understand that you are wanting to use Outlook in Split View. Now I do know that not all applications support split view and can tell based off of zoom button vs the full screen button. Take a look at the section I quoted below for more details. Because this deals with Outlook, I would recommend looking to see if they have any updates to support Split View.

Apps that need more screen space to enter Split View might display a message that they're not available in full screen. You can use a higher resolution on your display to give apps more screen space. Apps that don't support Split View at all show a zoom button

If holding down the full-screen button doesn't enter Split View, go to Apple menu > System Preferences, click Mission Control, and make sure that “Displays have separate Spaces” is selected.
