I would say that you have defined your own problem. The storage device appears to be the culprit.

I would urge you to rid the MBA of the Norton AV software. A Mac does not need it and it may corrupt your system. Go to the developers web site for uninstall instructions.

Delete these items and see if the kernel panics stop. Do not reinstall 'Little Snitch'. It is not needed.
