i had websites i never visited on my Safari history. Was I hacked?

Hi,

I was looking through my History on Safari on MacBook Pro (Yosemite) & there were many sites that looked like crazy ****. Neither me or my family visited them. Was I hacked or could it been from clicking on bad pin on Pinterest or FB?

Thanks for any input!

Are you sure your family members did not visit these sites with adult content? I do not think you were hacked. Probably you or your family members could click on some banner or pop ups accidentally.

Thank you for your response! So I remember clicking on a Pin on Pinterest and it took me to a site I knew was bogus, but not ****. I reported it. Do you think that caused that stuff in my History? I cleared my History. Is there anything else I should do? Do you think it could be harmful to my computer? One more thing- should I re-activate my FB account? Thanks for any and all help!

Now sites are showing up again and one called Dorothy Perkins, which I looked up and seems to be clothing retailer from England. Thanks for any and all help!
